Zámek Ratibořice a Babiččino údolí ( Ratiboice castle and Grandmother's Valley) - Fairytale Country of Božena Němcová

A frequently visited place of excursion in Ratibořice has earned its fame mainly in connection with the story of the novel The Grandmother by Božena Němcová. Sandstone statues of the main representatives of this work can be found already at the beginning of the valley. You can also find the castle Ratibořice, there.

The building of ,, Staré Bělidlo" located in the Ratibořice Valley became a museum of Božena Němcová and it was equipped with period folk furniture. Today, Viktoriin Splav no longer has the original film form, but the romantic nook, into which it is set, still recalls the atmosphere of that time.

Hospital Kuks

Distance from Hořičky: 14 km

The Kuks hospital baroque complex will offer the famous set of Braun statues, which represent twelve virtues and twelve vices.
The newly reconstructed Kuks complex is located in the middle of a free landscape. The herb garden, which is located behind the hospital building, has been supplying medicinal herbs for the needs of the pharmacy in the past and in 2015 this role was restored.

Adršpašské skály (Adrspach Rocks)

Distance from Hořičky: 35 km

The largest rock town in the Czech Republic is formed by hundreds of sandstone rocks with narrow streets, where visitors are breathtaking. The entrance through the Gothic gate is one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in the whole rock. On the rocky lake, which is only accessible by ladders, you can ride a boat and admire Adrspach waterfall. There is also the ruins of Adrspach castleč, which was demolished 500 years ago.
